Our Porch Music CD

A few words about this, our first CD... We wanted the listener to hear the music much like it would sound drifting from our favorite porch. Naming the CD was simple: Porch Music.
The CD, we felt, should have the feel of a summer evening, with a mix of tunes that would complement the sound of a porch swing in motion. To capture the energy of a live performance, we recorded the entire band altogether in a single room at Ecton Road Studios in Akron (most CDs nowadays are recorded one musician at a time).
On Porch Music the Brick Road Ramblers serve up a blend of old-time favorites and folk classics with a string-band sound that has thrilled festival crowds of all ages since 1996. On it we celebrate foot-stomping Old Time tunes, blues, 60s folk, and 1930s standards. Lace up your clogging shoes and cut loose. It's a CD you will want to play -- and sing along to -- again and again.
