WLRN 91.3 in Miami, Florida plays I'll Fly Away from Live at Lock 3 on Michael Stock's "Folk & Acoustic Music" program. WLRN is a large NPR affiliated station that serves all of South Florida.

  

WUNC 91.5 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina plays many tracks from Live at Lock 3 and Porch Music! We have enjoyed repeated airplay on their highly respected "Back Porch Music" program. Freddy Jenkins and Keith Weston, the show's hosts, don't seem to have a favorite, selecting tracks to play on their program from both CDs.

 

WAPS 91.3 in Akron, Ohio appreciates local talent! Cuts from Porch Music, Live at Lock 3, and Medina Rose are played on Tom Ball's "Just Plain Folk" and "Anything Goes" programs, where the band has performed live as featured artists. In addition, Porch Music has been played on Don Igoe's bluegrass program, "Pickin' the Grass".

 

Whole Wheat Radio in Talkeetna, Alaska plays Dooley, Goin' to the West, and Leavin' Louisiana from Live at Lock 3, and has featured the entire Porch Music CD on its hour-long online webcast "Live With Listeners - New Artist Spotlight". Listeners were logged on from California to Virginia, New York to Alaska, Brazil, the Netherlands, and Germany! 

 

Utah Public Radio distributes the "Fresh Folk" folk music program, hosted by Blair Larsen, to its network of stations throughout the state of Utah. Tracks from Live at Lock 3 and Porch Music show up in their programming schedule, including Black Eyed Susie and Leaving Louisiana.

 

WBGU 88.1 in Bowling Green, Ohio plays Nail That Catfish and Man of Constant Sorrow from Live at Lock 3, and Paper Moon from Porch Music on their "Folk Music" program hosted by Ann Tracy.

 

WUWG 90.7 in Carollton, Georgia plays Side by Side from Live at Lock 3 and Ragged But Right, Old Plank Road, and Scotch and Soda from Porch Music on Steve Sudberry's "Appalachian Trail" folk music program. Steve remarked on his playlist that his mother used to sing Side by Side at home back in the 50's. I remember my mom singing it, too.

 

KTEP 88.5 in El Paso, Texas plays Wild Rose of the Mountain, Goody Goody, and Marching Through Georgia, all from Porch Music, as well as Hava Nagila from Live at Lock 3 on their "Folk Fury" music program.

 

WRKF 89.3 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana plays Dooley from Live at Lock 3 and You Ain't Goin' Nowhere from Porch Music on Taylor Caffery's "The General Store" folk music program.

 

Radio Kidnappers 1431AM public radio in Hastings, New Zealand plays tracks from Live at Lock 3 on their "Folk on Sunday" music program hosted by Mitch Park, including Battle of New Orleans, Nail That Catfish, The Girl I Left Behind, and Man of Constant Sorrow, as well as tracks from Porch Music including Mole in the Ground, Black Eyed Susie, Old Plank Road, Shenandoah Falls, Ragged But Right, Big Boss Man, and the a cappella song Babylon.

 

EMS-Vechte-Welle 95.6 in Geeste, Germany, plays Friend of the Devil from Live at Lock 3 and Ragged But Right from Porch Music on Norbert Knape's "Roots" folk music program.

 

WFHB in Bloomington, Indiana includes Old Plank Road from Porch Music in its "Roots for Breakfast" folk music program. 

 

Vermont Public Radio distributes Robert Resnik's "All the Traditions" folk music program to its network of stations throughout Vermont. They include Porch Music in their programming, such as Paper Moon, Sail Away Ladies, Black Eyed Susie, and You Ain't Goin' Nowhere.

 

WETA 89.1 in Washington DC and WETH 90.0 in Hagerstown, MD play tracks from Live at Lock 3 on Mary Cliff's "Traditions" program, including High on a Mountain.

 

North Country Public Radio distributes the "String Fever" folk music program, hosted by Barb Heller, to its network of stations throughout the North country in New York state. Tracks from Porch Music show up in their programming schedule, including You Ain't Goin' Nowhere, Sail Away Ladies, Wild Rose of the Mountain, and E-RI-EE.

 

WTSR 91.3 in Ewing, NJ plays tracks from Live at Lock 3 on Peter Kernast's "The Legacy Program", including West Virginia My Home.

 

WOJB 88.9 in Hayward, Wisconsin plays tracks from Porch Music on Mark Pedersen's "Folkways" program, including Wild Rose of the Mountain, Marching Through Georgia, and It's Only a Paper Moon.

 

Costa Rica Radio distributes and promotes Porch Music to its network of stations throughout this Central American country. Tracks from Porch Music are being played on Radio Libertad, Victoria, Radio Los Santos, Radio Corredores, Radio Nicoya, Radio Talamanca, Los Chiles, and La Cruz. They report that of the many tracks being played, It's Only a Paper Moon is a universal favorite.

 

Montana Public Radio produces Bob Presthus' "Blues on the Move" show and distributes it to its network of stations throughout Montana. They play songs from Porch Music such as You Ain't Goin' Nowhere.

 

KVMR 89.5 in Nevada City, California spins Porch Music on their "Long and Dusty Road" folk music program, playing, among others, Old Plank Road and the old-time instrumental Shenandoah Falls.
